Product Description
The HIOKI PW3360-21 is a portable three-phase power and energy logger covering 90 V to 780 V AC at 50/60 Hz. It supports measurements from single-phase 2-wire to three-phase 4-wire systems and is suitable for use in factories, commercial buildings, and residential facilities. Compared to the PW3360-20, this model additionally features harmonic analysis up to the 40th order. The built-in SD card slot supports memory cards up to 8 GB, enabling stand-alone logging of power usage and demand over extended periods.
The logger provides high-precision readings with a basic accuracy of ±0.4% for active power (excluding current sensor accuracy). This accuracy enables reliable evaluation of power consumption and supports the identification of potential energy losses and efficiency improvements.
With the PW3360-21, harmonics up to the 40th order in voltage, current, and power can be measured. This harmonic analysis function is unique to the PW3360-21 and is not available on the PW3360-20.

Harmonic results can be displayed in multiple formats, including bar graphs, numerical lists, or the power phase angle of each individual harmonic, providing clear and detailed analysis options. Harmonic data can also be logged at the same intervals as standard measurement data, enabling long-term analysis of distortions. For further evaluation, data can be viewed on a PC using the separately sold SF1001 Power Logger Viewer software. These capabilities help identify power quality issues that may affect equipment performance, energy efficiency, and overall system reliability. Harmonic analysis is particularly useful in facilities with motor drives or large IT infrastructures, providing valuable insight into whether such effects are present on site.
To perform measurements, the PW3360-21 requires AC current sensors with a BNC connector. These current sensors are not included with the logger and must be ordered separately.
The following Hioki current sensors are compatible with the PW3360-21:
Model 9694 9660 9661 9669 CT9667 9657-10 9675
By selecting the appropriate sensor, users can match the measurement range to their specific monitoring needs, from low currents to several kiloamperes.
The PW3360-21 can log both load current and leak current, supporting both energy usage analysis and electrical safety checks. Load current logging helps measure the consumption of machines, panels, or entire facilities and makes it possible to identify inefficiencies to optimize energy usage. Leak current logging detects unintended electrical leakage, which may indicate insulation degradation, faulty wiring, or aging equipment. Monitoring leakage current is important to prevent hazards, reduce fire risk, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Together, these functions help identify inefficiencies and potential faults before failures occur, enhancing overall system reliability and safety.
The included Z1006 AC adapter enables operation from a standard power outlet. If no outlet is available, the instrument can alternatively be powered by the optional PW9002 Battery Set or the optional PW9003 Voltage Line Power Adapter. The PW9002 attaches to the back of the unit and provides up to 6 hours of operation when fully charged. The PW9003 is connected separately to the line under test and supplies the instrument directly from it, ensuring continuous operation as long as the line remains powered. These flexible options ensure reliable operation in both fixed installations and mobile field use.
This power logger is designed for energy consultants, facility managers, and service engineers as a reliable and safe solution for energy monitoring. Its compact design allows installation even in confined spaces such as switchboards and connection cabinets. The device supports real-time monitoring via LAN and connects to the free HIOKI Gennect One PC software for continuous energy monitoring. Whether for one-time audits or long-term monitoring, the PW3360-21 delivers precise data to support energy savings and improve operational efficiency.
