Product Description
The HIOKI CM4373-50 Clamp Multimeter is the right choice for professionals who need safe and precise measurement of very large AC/DC currents. With a wide 2000 A range and True RMS accuracy, it is ideal for industrial power distribution, heavy machinery, and EV charging systems. Its 55 mm jaws accommodate large diameter insulated conductors, enabling reliable measurement in applications where smaller clamp meters may not fit.
Voltage measurement up to 1000 V AC/DC covers most requirements. When paired with the optional P2010 High Voltage Probe, the instrument can measure up to 2000 V DC in CAT III environments, enabling safe testing of photovoltaic strings and high voltage batteries. True RMS technology ensures accurate results even with distorted waveforms.
Versatile multimeter functions
Beyond current and voltage, the HIOKI CM4373-50 also functions as a versatile multimeter: it measures resistance, capacitance, continuity, diode polarity check, and DC power. This extends its usefulness in photovoltaic systems, high voltage batteries, and other DC applications where current, voltage, and power need to be checked together. When temperature values also need to be checked, the instrument supports a K thermocouple such as the optional DT4910 Thermocouple (K) for measurements from -40 °C to 400 °C. It also supports non contact voltage detection for a quick check for the presence of AC voltage, which is useful for an initial check at the measurement point but does not replace voltage measurement with test leads. Automatic AC/DC detection and advanced display options such as Max/Min/Avg, PEAK values, filter function, manual/auto hold, and pass/fail judgement simplify daily tasks and save time.
The included L9300 test leads are designed with the user in mind. Their slide type mechanism allows the metal tips to be extended or retracted, making removable caps and the risk of losing them a thing of the past. This simplifies handling and enables a safe switch between short tips for higher CAT ratings and fully extended tips for tight measurement points. The display backlight makes readings easier in poorly lit distribution boards, control cabinets, and service environments. The instrument remains suitable for field use across a wide operating temperature range from -25 °C to 65 °C, including cold weather and elevated ambient temperatures.
Bluetooth and safety ratings
The optional Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter adds wireless data transfer to a smartphone or tablet. With the free GENNECT Cross app for Android and iOS, measured values can be stored, linked to a photo of the measurement location, and used for service documentation. Current waveforms can also be displayed on the mobile device, which supports troubleshooting under changing load conditions.
The CM4373-50 complies with CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V, and with the P2010 it also supports CAT III 2000 V. Its rugged housing is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, ensuring safe operation on construction sites and in harsh outdoor conditions.
