MEASUREMENT CABLE (yellow) L9842-11

The HIOKI L9842-11 is a 10 m yellow test lead on cable reel. In the earth measurement setup, it is typically used as an auxiliary lead. The fixed crocodile clip opens up to 8 mm and is designed for connection to auxiliary earth spikes as well as to the connection point of the L9846 Earth Nets Module.
With a lead length of 10 m, the L9842-11 is suited to compact measurement setups with shorter distances. The cable reel has approximate dimensions of 28 × 18 × 5 cm in height, width and depth and is therefore flatter than the cable reels of the L9845 series. One end of the lead is equipped with a 4 mm safety plug for connection to the measuring instrument, while the other end has a fixed crocodile clip. The foldable winding handle makes it easier to rewind the test lead after use.
The L9842-11 is compatible with the L9846 Earth Nets Module. The module attaches directly to the cable reel and forms a single unit with it. This allows the test lead to be used for earth measurements on hard surfaces such as concrete where auxiliary grounding rods cannot be inserted directly. Holders for L9840 earth spikes are available, allowing the test lead and grounding rod to be carried together.
With a lead resistance in the range of 100 mΩ per meter, the L9842-11 is suitable for earth measurements where lead resistance does not significantly affect the measurement. The test lead is not suitable for low resistance measurements.
